Bel Canto celebrated Spring as a season of hope and renewal
with songs of peace, belonging, encouragement, joy, and inspiration.

With music for choir, piano, and strings,
we explored these themes in selections
ranging from JS Bach and Mendelssohn,
to contemporary composers Runestad, Szymko, Whitacre, and Gjeilo,
as well as traditional African American spirituals.

Selections included, among others, Bach Motet VI "Lobet den Herrn",
Szymko "All Works of Love", Gjeilo "The Ground",
Parker "Sometimes I Feel", and Runestad "Your Soul is Song".
